The grand site of Conca d’Oru, Patrimonio’s wine-growing area – the Gulf of Saint Florent is an emblematic site of Corsica.  It is characterized by the harmony in its landscape linked to the encounter of Land and Sea where you can find a balance of colors and reliefs, plant and mineral resources, natural and inhabited areas.

Since January 1, 2018, a Mixed Federation has been ensuring the management of the Grand Site of France, its label and coordinating the implementation of its management plan.  This Mixed Federation is made up of the Corsican government, the local council community of Nebbiu – Conca d’Oru and the six municipalities of Barbaggio, Farinole, Oletta, Patrimonio, Poggio d’Oletta and Saint-Florent.

Therefore, Oletta participates in the four strategic objectives of the Grand Site:

• Continue and reinforce the protection, restoration and sustainable management of landscape qualities.
• Improve the quality of the Grand Site’s discovery and number of visitors.
• Develop a tourism that is sustainable and reflects Corsica based on the fact that the land and sea are complimentary.
• Manage and promote the Grand Site, share its uniqueness and the mindset of the area.
