NEIGHBORHOODS AND STREETS

Oletta has a very rich cultural, historical and societal heritage.  Important events marked the village’s history:  the Oletta conspiracy, the story of Maria Gentile, the miracle of Romanacce… many men and women distinguished themselves throughout the centuries, be it by their profession, courage, passion, their happy or tragical destiny in Oletta and beyond our community’s borders.  It was necessary to highlight all these events and destinies that make up our village’s history.                             

That is why the municipality decided to attribute names of events or people who shaped our village community to streets, buildings and public places.  It is a way of remembering them, a duty which will give the young generation an opportunity to better learn about their roots and enhance their sense of belonging to the village.
