In order to make our village safe, security cameras will be installed in the community in sensitive areas (public buildings, public equipment, roads, etc.).  The main purpose of this measure, that protects the inhabitants’ privacy, is the population’s safety. The equipment, approved by the prefect, is equally financed by the State and the Corsican government.

A system of precise addressing was set up on the whole territory by naming all streets in the community and putting numbers on each house in order to eliminate errors in mail delivery and also allow for high speed internet installation.

The creation of a medical center on the premises of the former child care center and medical office is validated by the doctors, the Regional Health Agency and the community.  It will be able to ensure health safety to Oletta’s inhabitants and also to the other communities in the Nebbiu region.

This medical center will have three general practitioners, nurse coordinators and also on-call periods ensured by medical specialists and paramedical first responders.  This creation will be financed by the Regional Health Agency, Corsican government, State and community.

A contract was attributed in order to set up a measuring post in the Muntaghjo hamlet, install a new system of remote network surveillance as well as a new system of chlorinating the reservoirs.  The pumping station will be equipped with a generator that will ensure the distribution of drinking water if there is a power outage. 

Because everything begins with education, the school’s renovation work offers a more pleasant school setting for its students.  In agreement with the teachers, the community will improve the means to develop the use of digital technology for all of the children enrolled in school. 

School supplies are furnished to students at no cost.  In the near future the community will have a community center completely renovated and accessible to all.  The work contracts have been designated and the finances ensured by the State, Corsican government and community.  The work has begun and should finish this summer.  In this way the community will have a high-quality meeting place.

The community has a project to create a City Stadium joined to the school to be able to meet the expectations of young people who would like to get together in a friendly place in order to practice different sports.

The entire public lighting network was the object of a diagnosis that allowed the creation of a project to economize energy and reduce the expense of electricity by 70% by replacing 450 public lights with LED lights.

The diagnosis and project are already financed. The policy of reinforcing the network and putting it underground, already well under way, will be continued.
